The sun peered out over the horizon, giving the beach a golden hue. His hands entwined with hers as they watched the last of their evening sink behind the ocean curtain.  Her head rested on his shoulder, tears silently sliding down her cheek. Fading light meant more than another day ended;  it brought to a close their relationship, their love. He would be flying home to his wife the following morning.
