I came across this photo, and I could not take my eyes off of it. I came back to it several times over the course of the day. It wasn’t an arousing picture. It wasn’t even all that sexual to me. It made me think of vulnerability. How vulnerable she appears; being nude while he’s fully dressed.  Being held in such a way that her hands are not her own, but is completely safe in his hands. 

He looks gentle, as though he is cuddling her in his arms. She seems to be leaning into him, why? For strength, for an intimate moment, for a safe place to put her mind perhaps.  Is he helping to focus her mind for an upcoming task?  Maybe he’s helping her shed the ugly stress of the day.  

It is a beautiful picture, whatever the intentions were when it was taken.
