He gave no indication that the evening would hold anything pleasant for her. She had dressed accordingly for their HNT meeting. Black lace as was his preference, yet there was something disapproving in his eyes. Once in their usual room she climbed onto the bed and tried to think of reasons for his displeasure. The answer came to her suddenly and she felt her heart sink, her mood plummet.
